are hosting IPPA Happy Faces 2010 on Thursday 1^st

and Saturday 3^rd April at our Studio , 94 High Street ,

Kilkenny. 10am to 5pm

For a minimum donation of

€25 you will receive a mini portrait session and a desk portrait . 100% of all monies

received will go to the CFAI to assist in providing isolation

facilities for people living with Cystic Fibrosis in Ireland . The

money raised in Kilkenny will stay in this area .

“The best children's portraits are ? simply black & white ,

dressed up and fancy , bright and colourful , whimsical and

fun .” Allow Maria to answer this question for you this Happy Faces Day , we will have a variety of New Backgrounds

and Portrait Choices for you to enjoy at the Studio on 1^st and

Do you know anyone who is due a Baby soon ? Twins & Multiples also welcome !! . I'm working on a portrait project with Newborns . This special time in your baby's life is a beautiful moment to capture forever , thank you to all the Mum's and Dad's who have already brought in their babies it has been a joy to work with you . The Casting Call sessions will : Be for 1 to 10 day old newborn babies

Be complimentary (however portraits may be purchased at special rates )

Require a model release as images will be used for our portfolio

Most likely to require babies to be photographed nude

Require the capturing of specific poses

The Baby Whisperer

My Newborn Portraits were very well received at the recent Judging of the Irish Professional Photographers Association National Photographic Awards . The 6 portraits Scored Silver and are all of Newborn Babies 10 days old or less . I love working with New babies , they are tiny for such a short time its wonderful to be able to capture a moment in time for their Parents to remember these precious days .

Many of my colleagues are calling me the baby whisperer as my baby portraits are so special .

We Have A Winner

The Winner of The Calendar cover contest is Juno and Jessie two beautiful Collies . They are rescues from Inistioge Puppy Rescue and much loved pets . They will be on the cover of the Inistioge Puppy Rescue Calendar which will be on Sale in December for €10 . Congratulations to all our models , they certainly made the task of choosing the Cover very difficult .
